What sets Paradigm apart is how its seasonal blooms create an immersive experience. Imagine photo ops in front of a wall of Jasmine, dining beside beds of fragrant herbs, or dancing under string lights surrounded by vibrant foliage. The garden isn’t just a backdrop—it’s part of the celebration. Each plant is thoughtfully chosen, enhancing the space with natural beauty that elevates your big day. In this post, we’ll explore the different seasonal flowers that make Paradigm Gardens the perfect canvas for a romantic, unforgettable New Orleans wedding.
Natural beauty that changes with the seaons
As nature flows through its seasons, so does Paradigm and all of the flowers that fill the space. In spring, you might see the colorful snapdragons, or smell the deliciously fragrant jasmine. Summer brings bold colors and textures—zinnias, sunflowers, and vibrant hibiscus—blooming in full force. As fall arrives, the sunflowers are still standing tall giving shade to the beautiful cosmos and zinnias. Even in winter, pansies and snapdragons are still going strong, accented with patches of ornamental kale.
Most of Paradigm’s flowers started as little baby seeds in our greenhouse before being planted into Paradigm’s rich composted soil, making each bouquet and arrangement feel fresh, thoughtful, and true to the spirit of New Orleans. Whether you're planning a spring ceremony or a late fall reception, the garden provides natural décor that reflects the season—and adds to your love story.
Farm-to-Table Bouquets & Garden-Inspired Decor
At Paradigm Gardens, you have the option to customize your bouquets and table arrangements using fresh, seasonal flowers grown right in the garden. Many of the blooms are picked just steps from where you’ll say, “I do,” making your wedding feel deeply connected to the space. This garden-to-table approach is both sustainable and naturally beautiful—perfect for couples who want their celebration to reflect the charm of New Orleans.
Whether you're envisioning a wild, colorful mix or something simpler and more elegant, we’ll work with you to create floral designs that complement your style and highlight what’s in bloom. It’s a personal, eco-friendly way to decorate—no extras needed!
The Scents of the Garden
One aspect of Paradigm that makes it feel so magical is all of the smells! In spring, the air is filled with the light scent of jasmine, lavender, and flowering dill, along with roses, snapdragons, and geraniums. Summer brings stronger smells from blooming zinnias, marigolds, hibiscus, and even turmeric. Herbs and hyacinth beans also add a fresh, earthy touch.
In the fall, the scent shifts with the season—salvia, celosia, and cosmos give off a warm, natural smell, while dahlias and sunflowers bring in softer floral notes. Winter is quieter but still special, with gentle scents from camellias, paperwhites, and ornamental kale. These natural smells help create a full, sensory experience on your wedding day—something you’ll remember every time you catch a familiar scent.
